Sheena's Journey

Our house is undergoing major renovation!!!!!!!

It's SoOoOoOoOoooo ExCiTenggggg!!!!!!

having a home of my own feels kinda like "my parents r not at home and i am gonna have a big party!!!" ~~ hahahahahaha...

i am soo gonna invite my friends and family over every weekend@@@@@~~!!!

somehow, i still can't believe that i am going to move out of my parent's home soon. i am SOOOOOoOoOooo gonna miss everyone at home even though our new house is just a street away... i think i will even miss our pet tortoise... :~~(

i will move into chris' house first after our wedding as our new home is not ready yet. anyway.. right now our home is like 1/3 done? the walls that need to be hacked down r hacked down, walls need to be erected r erected... old kitchen cabinets r removed.. toilet and kitchen tiles replaced... heehee!!!

i forgot to take pictures of how our home looks like currently when we went over yesterday afternoon for a look at the progress.. all i have now r some pictures that show what we hacked..
here they r~~~
hall (part of)

one of my favourite parts of the house... guess where??

heheh.. yesterday my 6th uncle who is the contractor for our home reno came over and passed us a sample of the tiles that are newly fixed on the front of our kitchen counter so that we can match it against the laminate samples for the kitchen cabinets.

After that, chris, mummy and i went over to check out how the tiles really look like when put together and i tell u..... u wouldn't believe how gorgeous they are if you haven't seen them yourself!!!!!!!!! every description i thought of using here are understatements of their beauty~~ wahahahahaha~~

i forgot to take a pic of the kitchen so i can only show u how nice they look a few days later...

for the time being... let's have a peek at the sample :

ta dar~~!!!

yeah i am soooooo damn proud of the tile!!!

Chris' Journey
How time flies. I have embarked on my new job for a month and close to 2 weeks. So far things are very different from my previous job, both in terms of colleagues and job culture. Momentum seems to have taken on the slower pace probably to tie in with my closely knitted wedding cum new house schedules.

Just completed the "guo da li" ceremony over the weekend and things were kinda rush. However, I must agree that it was quite meaningful and enjoyable after realising all this efforts were put in to make "her " mine semi-officially. Cheers...sounds like those old films?haha...The distribution of the cakes were especially tiring and we went from places to places teling ppl that we are rushing for the next location and "really" couldn't stay for long. the last thing we know is that we were telling the same stuff to the person from the last location. Well, these are parts and parcel of the transistion to the next phase of my life.

And I will be getting the keys to our "new" house on thurs. Before that, we will have to inspect our house for any abnormalities prior to the taking and handing over ceremony on Thurs. Things that we are advised to look out for includes:

1. Any defects from the socket switches.

2. Defects on the windows, afterall, we have decided to leave them intact for reminiscence purposes--ya rite.

3. Defects to the walls.

4. Any leftovers in the fridge and quiet little corner...will have to ask them to clear of finish up...

5. ...
After tt we would probably update on the blog on the reno details of our house while i go for my ICT...

Intensive Wedding Preparation

Sheena's Journey:

I have finally finished my exams!!!!! its only 1 month 1 week and 2 days to our wedding and i have got lots to do~~

we just had our "guo da li" last saturday and we spent the entire day distributing cakes around the island to our relatives.. my mum & i visited the homes of my relatives on my maternal side while my dad & sis went to the relatives on my paternal side.. i am so proud of my dad for not losing his way (like he usually does) to boon lay all the way from tampines :D hahahaha...
it was really a challenge delivering those cakes because they can only be out of the fridge for a maximum of 4 hours and i had a total of 50 boxes of cakes to deliver!!! the cream cakes turn abit soggy before we r done.. luckily we managed to "park" the cakes in my uncle's fridge for about half an hour to harden them before continuing our delivery ...

i got my wedding cakes from Miranda Cake House and i must say that they are really tasty even though i am usually not a large fan of cakes.. will post the pictures when i figure out how to.. haha

i need to confirm my friends' attendance, send out invites for friends, plan seating arrangement, plan schedule for the day, go for final gown fitting, confirm flowers, etc...
most importantly, I NEED TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT!!!!! omg omg omg.. really regret stuffing myself during the study break..

yoga, i am going to embrace you again!!!!! Jogging, i am going to conquer u!!!
